Start in pre searing, lvl up to 7 or higher before you leave. Try to do all the quests. Maybe fight across the wall a few times. Try to get a no req 9-13 flatbow for pulling. Collect a few dyes. In other words, don't rush through. There's plenty of things to do in pre to keep you interested.

When you're finished in pre, go to post searing. Start doing all of the ascalon quests. Go to sardelac, there are several quests you can get from there. Maybe gain a lvl or two, then do The 1st mission and bonus.

Go back to old ascalon and go to Piken Square. There's tons of quests you can get from there. Instead of buying Althea's ashes, actually try to do the quest. It can be quite challenging for a low lvl team.

After you've finished the piken and ascalon quests there's a few quests you can get at Ft Ranik. Finish those, then do the mission and bonus. etc. etc.

Do you get what my point is OP? You're obviously rushing through the game. Instead of rushing through the missions, try to go to the smaller towns around the mission areas. There are many quests you can pick up in these areas.

I can guarantee that if you complete some of the more difficult early game quests while you're below lvl 10, you'll have as much fun and a sense of accomplishment as you will at lvl 20 beating Thunderhead Keep.

One of the easiest ways to ruin the enjoyability of the game is to rush through. I hear players constantly asking for runners to skip over the ascalon area. Or asking for a runner from LA to Sanctum Cay. A week later they're probably rdy to start another character along the same route.

Of course the game gets boring playing like that.

YES THERE IS AND IT IS GUARANTEED

take a break doing something fun you like and want to do.

dont touch GW until the next event/chapter/or you really want to play it

if you have to force yourself to play why play at the moment?

So true! Look at how many people rushed through Factions on the first day of release (literally) and then complained about how boring it is.

To OP: Take a break once in a while! Get out of the house and do something else. The problem isn't GW. The problem is you're burnt-out on GW. And when you do play GW, spread out your playing time between characters & the places you play in. You can even do the same thing with the same character using a different build for the change of pace.

Start enjoying PvP side of the game again. It's really fun and exciting if you do it with friends/guild.

Sure, major proportion of HA is these premade builds, vim etc. but that doesn't stop you from inventing new builds to defeat them, what it needs is a group of friends and/or a guild.

Since you have a little time to wait till the new release of Nightfall start another new character. Do not use any previously collected items or crafting material or funds from storage. Do not have anyone run you anywhere. Use only collector armor and use only dropped or collector reward items and weapons. Sell all drops or trade (If you find that ultra rare item go put in storage) but keep funds in this character only. Hench all missions or if you a solo player like me try it with random pick up groups. Try for Masters Level / Completion and bonus on all missions. I am sure you have not done all of the side quests, so do as many as you can. Try for as many titles as you can get. Use skills you never have used, and don’t just use the ones that the build forums say work try out new ones. (I personally like the “Kamikaze Elementalist “no ranged skills and just a totem axe and focus. It all “up close and personal” with ranger defenses of course  Attack, explode, run away)

The game is what you make of it. If you want to rush it go ahead and rush. If you want to experience it you need to slow down

It took me around 2 months to beat prophecies on my first char=P. I got distracted from completing missions+quests by pvp.

Already leveled up to 20 in Pre with a W/Mo as my first char, doing all quests I could find. Then I deleted him because I liked Cantha better.

I guess a lot of people that play GW never played games like WoW or other MMO's that require almost all of your free time. That's probably why I completed so many things in only 2 months, since I just did as much as I could, as fast as possible so I could get to end-game content. Too bad there isn't really any end-game content other than AB / Halls / GvG...

Oh well. I've been doing stupid stuff lately, like chest running / 2-manning missions, running infusion for people who need it.

If I get bored before Nightfall, i'll just do something else I guess.

Thanks for not really paying attention to the thread title, guys, and just posting "you played too much, oh well" instead of "yeah, I normally do some chest runs when i'm bored...that kills time very quickly"

To the people who did suggest something: thanks.

Should we even wonder how you got 15k armor and nice weapons/runes for eight charecters in two months? I'm guessing you bought some gold, because I see no feasible way that you did that. Even more proof is the fact that you have EIGHT charecters which shows you aren't a slouch when it comes to buying things off of internet stores.

PvE charecters are very hard to make useful for PvP. You have to have several sets of armor, lots of different weapons for different occasions etc. While this is nice once you have it all, its very expensive to do it.

i dont think its possible in pre-searing in prophecies to become lvl 20 i think lvl 17 max it is..... And even IF you tryed it that would have taken lots of your time....

I've gotten burned out as well... been playing for about 14 months.

I hope with Nightfall the interest returns for me.

For now, I am content playing Auto Assault. It's like Auto Duel all over again but with better graphics!

I am already playing an other free online game. Factions was a dissapointment, and since Nightfall is still 2 weeks away I started looking around.
I still have some characters who need to finish the game, but since Guildies were suggesting to hench it I took a brake from GW.

Why not join a public group? ~NEWSFLASH~ The world doesn't revolve around you. It's not your guildmates job to help you. God I hate it when people threaten to quit everytime they don't get their way. Please quit, go outside, enjoy life...

First of all NO games require you to use all of your free time to play, it's a personal choice - you can raid in WoW playing just one night a week if you want to - if you need to do it more it's either because you're addicted or because you're letting guild members pressure you.

Also loose the WoW mentality - THIS isn't WoW, it doesn't require the same from you - get that or go back to WoW.
